Why did my line count fewer or more than eight syllables?
Contrapunto counts syllables the way a payador hears a verse: vowels merge across word boundaries (sinalefa), a line ending on an aguda word gains a beat, and a line ending on an esdrújula word loses one. The Escuela tab has a free counter that explains every merge on any line you type.
Do I need an account?
No. Contrapunto has no account and no sign-in. Everything you compose and every rival you beat is saved on your device.
Does the app need the internet?
No. Every verse, tile, rival and rule is bundled in the app, so Contrapunto plays fully offline.
What happens to my photo when I set a portrait?
Contrapunto turns your chosen photo into a comic-style drawing on your device and keeps only that drawing. The original photo is never uploaded. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I turn off reminders?
Open Settings inside the app and switch off "Tonight's pie forzado" or "When a new rival arrives," or turn off notifications for Contrapunto in the iOS Settings app.
